September 2011 Magazine Covers - Best & Worst

They have arrived! Well, some of them. The highly anticipated September 2011 magazines! Since you guys liked it so much the last few times, I've decided to blog about the mag covers every month, woohoo! While some covers haven't been revealed yet (Allure, hurry up!) I wanted to share some of the magazines that have already put out their September issues. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Kreayshawn for I-D magazine
How.freaking.amazing.are.those.lashes
I'll be honest, I don't even know who this rapper is
But with lashes like those, who cares!

Anne Hathaway for Marie Claire UK
She looks pretty, that dress does not.
It looks like the stars were photoshopped on afterwards.
Weird.

Frieda Pinto for In Style UK
I think she looks beautiful!
Ever since I saw Slumdog Millionaire, I loved Frieda
The hair and makeup is great, and those lace sleeves are sexy

OK I have to say - i'm ambivalent about posthumous magazine covers
On one hand, I think it's nice to remember someone's talent and art
On the other hand, I feel like the media is capitalizing on someone's death and making money from it. So i'll just leave it at that.

SJP for Marie Claire US
Photoshopped to all hell. And i'm sorry, but I hate the outfit.
Pink and red never went together, and they still don't.

Emma Stone for Teen Vogue
My love!!!!!!!! Of course she looks fabulous
Very natural makeup but still gorgeous
I love how the color of the coat compliments her hair and eyes

Adele for Elle Quebec
Wow. She honestly looks breath-taking.
I always thought she was gorge, but this cover is phenom!
The eyes!!! I need to get my hands on this magazine and see what makeup they used on her

Emma Stone for W
Her career is on fire right now!
Movies, being the new face of Revlon, magazine covers!
Get it girl. However, i'm not quite sure what's going on with this weird fringe outfit...

Karolina Kurkova for Vogue Japan
OK this is a disaster.
She was a Victoria's Secret model, and she is looking like this.
Not cool, not edgy, just a fail in my book.

I don't know who this is and I've never heard of LOVE magazine,
but it was too pretty not to put it in this post!

Ryan Gosling for Esquire
My boyfriend has a huge man crush on Ryan, so Greg - this one is for you.

Lily Allen for Fashion
She looks so cute! Love the winged liner and her hair up
The polka dots and earrings complete the look
I've always admired her fashion choices

Rihanna for Glamour
Holy red hair and sequined pants!
Only she can pull this off, and make it work
Is it just this photo, or does she have red eye liner on? If so, it looks awesome!

Jessica Alba for Lucky
She looks pretty, but there's nothing special or fun about this cover.
Seems like it's missing the "wow" factor to me

Kirsten Dunst for Elle UK
What a pleasant surprise! Haven't seen her around in a while, right?
She looks so pretty and polished - the bitten lips and natural eyes suit her
The wispy hair and the flowers really give this cover a whimsical feel

Katie Fogarty for Vogue Australia
This might be one of my favorites!
The eye makeup and the hat are stunning.
They really focused the cover on her - no background or distracting props.

Kate Moss for Interview
LOVE LOVE LOVE.
The mask is amazing, the eyes are fierce
I love the colors they used. Interview always brings it!

Karlie Kloss for Bazaar Australia
The dress is so feminine and beautiful
The only thing I don't like, is the wind-blown hair
It looks like it's sticking straight out on the right haha

Jessica Stam for Flare
Her makeup looks flawless (she is a model, afterall)
Not crazy about the hair and the dress. Love the shoes though

Jennifer Lopez for Vanity Fair
Well obviously we knew she was going to land covers this month, right?
She's been a tabloid fixture ever since she announced her divorce and resigned with AI
Love the makeup, don't love the hair, hate how they put her boobs on display for "shock" factor
Tacky. Reminds me of that awful, green Versace dress she unfortunately wore one year

Gwyneth for Elle
This couldn't be more boring if it TRIED.
Bad makeup - they made her look washed out and pale
Hair is the same its been for 30 years
And I think she forgot to wear pants...

Mila Kunis for Glamour UK
Oh Mila, how I adore you!
She has amazing style, and I love how they put her in this retro dress
I like that they went easy on the makeup, she doesn't need it

Beyonce for Bazaar
I like this. The fiery red dress looks great,
along with the dramatic blue smokey eye
Well done

Emma Watson for Company
I laughed pretty hard when I saw this cover.
I don't know if it's supposed to be funny, or i'm just weird.
Either way, this one is...unique.

I think the magazines brought their A Game this month! What's your favorite?

My Very First Rimmel Product

Juicy, pink lippy!

Pink, as usual ha!

Love the little crown at the top!

The shade

This is my very first Rimmel product - a lipstick! I have to confess though - i'm awful at buying lipsticks. I seem to choose the SAME shade no matter what brand I'm buying. I guess it can be a good thing at times, because I know what lipstick shades work with my skin. But it's also a bad thing, because how many pink lipsticks does one person NEED?!

The reason for that rant, was because I like this lipstick. But it's nothing special. It looks and feels like any other pink lipstick that I own. Maybe if I picked a slightly different shade of pink, it would have set this one apart from the rest. But unfortunately, nothing special or exciting about it. I'm sure I will use it and like it, but no "wow" factor.

Do you guys like Rimmel lipsticks? Any shade suggestions?

Crayola Makes...Scented Nail Polish?

How random! And kinda cute! Has anyone heard anything about these? I was kicking around Rite Aid the other night, and came across these Crayola scented nail polishes. I thought - what an odd collaboration.

But at the same time, Crayola is known for colors - crayons, markers, pencils, etc. They also have scented products as well - I mean, who didn't have smelly markers when you were in grade school? So maybe it's not as crazy as I originally thought.

Just wanted to share! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Revlon's New Brand Faces Are...

Olivia Wilde

AND.........

Emma Stone

WHAT AMAZING CHOICES! They are both young, gorgeous and talented.

Can't wait to see what their campaign looks like...

Beauty Quote of the Day

"Don't wear too much make-up. Less really is more. I think the most beautiful people are those who look like they're not really wearing any. Overall though, just have fun with it and experiment. Kate Bosworth and Diane Kruger always have beautiful hair and make-up." - Emma Watson

Jersey Shore Girls

Yep, some of you probably hate me for this but I just need to get it out haha! As most of the world knows, last night was the premiere of Jersey Shore season 4. Along with the usual antics, certain things were noticeably different. For one, the cast is filming in Florence, Italy. For another, the girls look...different. What do you guys think?

JWoww
Oh dear. She looks like she lost so much weight! But it looks bad on her
Also, did she have Botox? Or her face is just thinned out from losing weight?

Sammi
Quite the opposite. Did she get boobs? Or just gained weight?
Also, I always thought her hair was real. Last night confirmed all 4 girls have "weave"

Deena & Snooki
I think Deena pretty much looks the same, but Snooki lost weight for sure
Total change up from last season, she was all about working out! Good for her

What do you guys think? Do the girls look different? Did you watch last night?

Pretty Pastels - Eyes, Nails, Necklace

I've always associated pastel colors with Spring - Easter egg colors if you will. But I decided, what the hell, I need some pastel colors in my life for summer. So, here is my EOTD & NOTD, plus one of my favorite new necklaces - all pastels, of course.

Pretty purple cream shadow!
Has a tiny bit of glitter in it, but in a subtle way.
Think of it as "daytime glitter"

A mini wing just to polish off the look
And two coats of MAC mascara

New purple Essie polish!
Such a fun, sweet color

A crowned heart necklace that I bought on my last trip to Brazil
Very...Majesty-like =)

What I used:

Essie polish in Nice is Nice, and the great top coat you'll ever use!

This is a Stila smudge pot from back in the day when they did a Barbie line.
The cover is just too cute!

I know that this color looks kinda scary and vampy in the pot,
but if you apply it with your finger and blend, it can be very light and pretty
For night time, build more layers of shadow on top for an intense eye

Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo

Beautiful Body Paint - Not For the Timid

Body paint has always intrigued me. Not the trashy "oh look, my bathing suit is painted on" body paint, but the real art form. The actual skill that goes into it. I guess you could consider it makeup artistry too, right? I've always wanted to be body painted (without sounding creepy) - because you can transform your entire body into a canvas, versus just your face. So, without further delay, here is some beautiful body paint.

This is Kelly Osbourne?!? If so, whoa!
Gold skin really suits her haha

This one reminds me of flowy water
The lashes are fierce too!

Komodo dragon, anyone?

I love everything about this one

Giselle in full tattoo body paint
Wonder how long that took to do?

So pretty...and trippy

Looks like this one was for runway

En fuego!
I love how her hair blends into the paint at the bottom

OK, if you're weird like me you'll be laughing pretty hard at this
Or just unfollowing me forever...

What's your favorite?!
